MARCH. 23— Southern Cross, Helander, from Napier. . . 24— Tararua, Sinclair, master, from Sydney via Northern Ports :— Passengers Messrs Morton, Tait, and Craig.
The damage in the port side of the Taupo has been discovered, and proves worse than was anticipated. Efforts are, however, being made to repair it, and should the weather keep fine, the steamer will be floated before long.
