LONDON.
March 21. The total reserve of notes and bullion in the Bank of England to-day is £20,000,000. Berlin and Germany are applying for additional space in the Sydney Exhibition.
t* An avalanche, which descended from Mount Bleiberg at the rear of the town of that name, in Carinthia province in Austria, killed 50 persons, and created great consternation among the villagers. The destruction spread on wide fields, damaging some lead mines and carrying away works in connection with them. Many persons were injured.
