MELBOURNE.
This Day. The prize fight was temporarily stopped. A writ against the vessel was issued for conveying the passengers. There was an awful scene at the embarkation of Melbourne roughs and vagabonds by steamer to witness the prize fight. She left for Flinders Island. Thompson and Mace backed Foley heavily. Notwithstanding the efforts of the police, the fight between Hicken and Foley took place to-day. Hicken was beaten.
