Atßeinnera dairy cattle were in free demand at late values. Oood animals brought from 10s lOd to 12s lOd each. Store cattle iu full numbers, and dull of sale at late values. Fat cattle short of requirement, and better worth. Prices ram;e steady between 30s and 35s the lOOlbs. Fat sheep were iu moderate numbers. Ewes at previous values, but wethers ls each higher than have lately ruled ; 2d to 2Ad the lb. were the ruling prices. Pigs of all classes we in full supply, aud good inquiry at full values. MESSRS HUNTER AND NOLAN'S WEEKLY REPORT. Horses. — There has been a marked improvement — more horses have been brought forward, and found purchasers at prices satisfactory to vendors. There were a good many entries for sale by auction, at the Durham Yards ou Friday, aud bidding was more spirited than on , the previous week. Almost Avithout exception those in were disposed of, and for young useful animals there remained an unsatisfied enquiry. We quote hacks from £G to £21 ss: light harness. £13 10s to £22 10s ; heavy draught, £37 to £40. Cattle.— the supply has continued good, and the demand steady, and quite a weekly average has been disponed of. At Newmarket, on Tuesday, a limited number of stores and a large number of dairy cows were yarded, aud disposed of at prices satisfactory to vendors. 98 fat beasts were yarded, aud 94 disposed of to the trade, last week's prices were sustained. At Puekohe, on Wednesday, there was a large number of cattle yarded, and Newmarket prices ruled, aud for well-bred Stores a shade in advance was obtained. "We quote dairy cows, £8 1-Os to £13 ; calves, 31s to 52s Gd ; yearling steers. £3 to £3 17s Gd ; 2-year-oMs, from £4 12s Gd ; 3-year-olds, £5 10s to £G 15s ; beef, 30s to 32s 6d.
