J. P. HYDE'S GEM BURLESQUE AND COMEDY COMPANY.
With a very delicate apology to your readers, I pass over the entertainment given on Saturday evening by this talented company, more especially as we noticed m full the same bill on their opening night ; and I see by an underline that the comedy of " Our Boys " having been such a complete success, has induced, probably, the manager to give us Robertson's chefd'oeuvref "Caste." This play needs no Heralding, as its success throughout the United Kingdom has indeed been unprecedented — not even exceeded by " Our Boys ;" but with a double object m view, viz. , a wellwriten comedy, and a chance of saying farewell to the lovely sisters, who would, who could, and indeed, who should, remain away to-morrow evening? I have seen the OldEccles of J. P. Hydes, and lam going to see it again. The sisters Esther and Polly are, I see, entrusted to Miss Alice Johns and Miss Lizzie Morgan, whilst the ladies and gentlemen composing the Gem company are all entrusted with the several roles most calculated to bring forward their excellent specialities. To-night a most excellent bill of fare is offered — sufficient to entice a very anchorite, therefore we say come one, come all, to the Masonic Hall, and all shall receive a hearty welcome.
