Probably m the annals of theatrical criticism, or notice, or — well, fulsome flattery, it may not be within our province to wield the pen (which, they say, is mightier than the sword) for a much better cause than this, viz., J. P. — no, hang it — I prefer the familiar Johnny, and to-night is let apart for this familiar favourite's particular benefit, when a comedy that has exceeded 2,000 nights run m one theatre at home will be produced. To vs — who are not m the secret — how it is going to be done we cannot imagine, but the Host of the Masonic nods his head sagaciously, and looking " Wait," fumbles out a 4s. ticket, .puts the dollar m his fob, and says, " Nuff scd." ■■■■■■:
