THIS EVENING'S PANTOMIME.

The performances of the Burlesque Company last night were well attended, if the state of the weather be taken into consideration. Those who went were well satisfied to have overcome the annoyances of mud, and puddle, and slush, and rain, for the excellent entertainment received in exchange. This evening there will be for the first time, and probably for the last, a burlesque pantomime. Good scenery, transformations, tricks ; a real clown, harliquina, columbine, and pantaloon. Having witnessed a rehearsal, we can assure our readers, and this really means every resident" in and around Gisborne, that their is rare fun, and plenty of it, in store for them. Mr. J. Wilkinson is clown, and a very clever one too. We notice him mentioned in highest terms in the Brisbane Courier and Sydney Herald. Mr. Simmonds will appear in Gisborne for the first time, and will play pantaloon ; and between pantaloon and clown there will be something worth witnessing. Miss Alice Johns as harliquina and her sister Miss Amy Johns as columbine. — Well, we need no more than to mention the names of these ladies. Their talent grace, and sparkle require no comment. Mias Morgan will appear for the first time in Gisborne as Snow White, having quite recovered from her late indisposition. The full strength of the company will be brought out tonight, and we look for a crowded hall.
