BYE-LAW, No. 14.

1. That it shall not be lawful ; to use shingles or other combustible material for the roofing of any new building, or the repairing or renewing the roof of any old building' within the following limits^ viz. : — D^SCBEPTIok OP BotJNpARtES All that portion ' of the Borough of Giaborne, commencing on the intersection of the Town Boundary (near Adair's New Wharf) with the Turangamii River ; thence following, the Turanganui and Taruheru Rivers to >the inter-.-section of Koebuck, Road ; thence along said road to the intersection of Aberdeen Eoad ; thence along Aberdeen Road to its intersection with Herbert Road ; thence along Herbert Road to its junction with Gladstone Road ; thence along Gladstone Road to its junction with Roebuck Road ; then along Roebuck Road to the Town Boundary ; thence along said ' Boundary to the commenciug" point. : 3. Any person or persons offending against either of the above Bye laws shall forfeit and pay a penalty not exceeding the sum of £5 for every such offence, provided that : every day during which such prohibited material shall be used shall be deemed a fresh and separate breach of such Bye-laws. 4. A fee of £1 Is. shall be payable to the Borough Fund for any and every inspection, superintendance, or other service performed by the Borough Engineer under any Bye-law, such to be paid by the person at whose request such inspection, superintendance, or service was made.
