Auckland Cattle Market.

HUNTER AND NOLANS* WEEKLY REPORT. Horses. — There has been no noteworthy change in the market. The number submitted at auction on Friday was about an average one. There was steady competition throughout the sale, very few lots were withdrawn, and these were afterwards disposed of privately. We quote : Hacks, £6 15s to £17 5s ; medium draught colts (unbroken), £19 10s to £28 ; Heavy draught, from £34 to £38 7s 6d. Cattle. — The market, on the whole, has been characterised by activity. Rather a large number of stores and dairy stock for the season have been brought forward, and found purchasers. At Newmarket, there was a good muster, and corresponding demand, Fat beasts were in full supply, and met keen competition at 30s to 32s 6d per lOOlbs. At Pukekohe, on Wednesday, over 200 head were yarded, and prices ruled in favor of the purchaser. Sheep were in full supply, but brisk demand, and prices had an upward tendency. Lambs were in adequate supply, and sold at from 9s 6d to 14s.

MR, ALFRED BUCKLAND's WEEKLY REPORT. At the Haymarket, on Friday last, fodder was offered in increased quantity, and prices were well sustained, and ranged with quality from 4s 3d to 6s 6d the cwt. 400 sacks oats, new crop, brought from 3s lOd to 4s the bushel. In horse stock there was a steady demand for good draught horses at late values, best animals from £35 to £50 ; aged and medium draught, from £9 to £20. On Tuesday, hides were freely competed for, and brought from 2Jd to 3J d the lb. ; tallow, £29s 6d and 30s the cwt. ; wool was something lower in price than hither* to, it brought from 4£d to 6§ the lb., and a few bales withdrawn } skins .were also at lower values, good quality brought Is 6d each only.
