OUR GOVERNMENT SCHOOL.

To the Editor of the Evening Heeald. Sib, — Much has beenj said about the efficient teaching of the children m the Gisborne public school. I can fully endorse all that has been said m its favour ; but I shall ask you to inspect the school and its surroundings, and then say ' whether, if the health of the children and teachers are taken into consideration from a sanitary point of view, the whole thing is not a seriouß reflection upon all concerned. It is simply shocking and disgraceful. Pray, sir, look into it yourself, and then judge. — I am, sir, A Parent, And one who would on no account allow his child to attend the Government School m its present condition.
