London, January 29. The trial of persons charged m the matter of the City of Glasgow bank continues. The case for the prosecution has closed to-day. The charges of theft and embezzlement have been abandoned. The fortress of Khililighfcaga, the only important stronghold between the British and Cabul, has been occupied by the British. The Afghan garrison retired without resisting.
