London, January 27. Money is m large supply. Mercantile demand shows no signs of revival. Bank rate, three months's Bills, £23 4s. Bank reserve slightly weaker. Business m all the departments of the Stock Exchange dull. Consols, 96£. Market for Colonial debentures, 'steady. Corn market, unchanged. It is stated that the French Cabinet have agreed to send a war vessel to Noumea to fetch the pardoned Communists back to France. A French soldier .who had been punished for some act of insubordination has been arrested for making threats against the life of Marshal McMahon.
