Race Meeting. Start at 3.30 p.m. 5. Consolation Handicap, of 16 soys. ; post entrance of one sovereign each, for all beaten hctaes at this meeting ; distance, one mile ; half entrances added. Start at 4 p.m. G. Hack Race, of 10 soys., for all hacks that have not been trained for this and the Waerenga»a-hika meeting ; post entrance, lOst up, distance one mile. Half entrances added. CONDITIONS. First raoe each day to start at 12 o'clock punctually. Handicaps to be made by the Handicapper ; second horse to save stakes, except m Back races. All entries to include names, description, and age of horses, and colors of riders. No owner or nominator shall be qualified to enter a horse other thau the hack races unless both be subscriber, of at least Two Guineas to the race funds All entries (except, the Tradesman's Handicap, Hurdle Race Handicap, Turanga Stakes Handicap, and Publicans Purse, which are to be sent m at time, and as above specified addressed as below) must be m writing, and forwarded to the Secretary at the Masonic Hotel not later than 9 p.m., on the 25th January, 1879 f |lHiid enclosing fee of 10 percent, on value of Btakea together with qualification.
