W.D.F.U
A special meeting of the committee of the W.D.F. U. was hold at the residence of Mrs. Gtrauchon on Friday, those present being Mcsdames J. Ncwland, Stmuchoa, McFarlane, Alexander, Morrison, Graves, Misses Fhuslie and Chcyne. The minutes of the previous meeting wore read and confirmed. Apologies were received from members who were unable to be present. The secretary read a letter from the secretary of the Waverley A. and F. Association, requesting that the W.D. F.U. revise the home industries schedule, deleting and adding where they considered practicable, and stating that suggestions would be welcomed. The committee went thoroughly into the schedule ns desired, noting deletions and additions, the same to be forwarded to the secretary for his consideration. Tt was resolved that the local branch of the Women's division donate the first prize of a guinea for the fruit cake, and suggest that 15/or 18/- be second prize for same. There bbiiig no further business the meeting closed.
