The I?ev. Dr. De Larger, Mr. .A. De Largcy and Miss De Larger, who have been on a brief visit to Patea, returned to Pntaruru yesterday. Mr 5. J. McCarty, Wellington, and formerly of Patea, passed through Patea last week en route to Helensvillo. The many friends of Mr. C. Edwards will regret to learn that his mother is seriously ill in Waverley. Captain Haddow was a visitor to Patea for the week-end. Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M., resumes duties as Stipendiary Magistrate at iVanganui to-day. Ho has been on extended leave, during which time the bench at Wanganui has been occupied by Mr. iA. S. Coleman, S.M. No word had been received up to Friday last, as to what appointment Mr. .Coleman will take on leaving Wanganui, where he has been held in high regard by members of the legal profession, police and Court officials, says the Chronicle...
