OVATION AT QUAYSIDE SUCCESS IN NEW ZEALAND TEAMWORK THE SECRET Cheering crowds gathered at the Quayside to welcome home Spring, bolts from their tour of Now Zealand and Australia. Tugs sounded their sirens and aeroplanes zoomed overhead. The Springboks’ captain, P. Nel, expressed appreciation of the hospitality extended to the team in Australia and New Zealand and said: “We have brought back the “Allies.” We have achieved what no previous South Af. rican team has done—beaten the All Blacks in a series of tests. "The secret of it was teamwork. " During the voyage home the players discussed tjre project of forming a Springbok Club, the membership of which will be open to any man who hag won a South African Rugby jersey. It is hoped the board will approve of the idea.
