Previously Patea schools,' which were in the 'Wanganui education district, although within, the boundaries of the Taranaki I'ngby Union, had not taken part in the •. mrtli Taranaki competitions. Their entrance into the competitions was most gratifying. Only ou.> grade will he played this year, it was decided, the w.igni limit of players being reduced to Bst 7Jb. Weights: must he in the hands of the secretary before April 4. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £d ds 2d, which was considered .very satisfactory. During the past season 30 schools took advantage of the concession offered in obtaining footballs. The election of officers resulted ns follows: President, Air. 0. H. Percy; secretary and treasurer, Air. 11. McDermott; management committee, the group organisers, .Messrs. Kedgley (Ivaponga), Quigley (Opunake), Guliver (Hawera), Wither (Patea), Gndopp (Eltham), Harper (Stratford.), L. Hancock and W. Dormer; delegates to central executive, Messrs. L. Hamcock, J. Henderson, and 11. McDermott ; auditor, Air. A. E. Gilliver; selectors, Messrs. L. Fnrrie, v. Alason, and J. W, Thomas.
