The retention of the best of the Maori' modes of living and the adoption of the best of European methods, particularly concerning health matters, js the object of an association formed recently at Tuiporohenui Pa at a meeting of many of the younger Maoris pf South Taranaki. The convenor, Mr. M. R. Jones, presided, others present being Messrs. Piko Raiigi, Turi To Wh'atu, Rohuu Hawcturi, Scotty Panemii, J. Williams, J. Raugiwahia, J. Poiho, Manihera Hori Huuparoa W.ha-i-icaitu, Ham Wakarua, and Rev. Mi, Rakena. •The drafting of rules and objects of the association was left in. the hands 'of Mr. Jones, who will confer with similay organisations on the matter.
