RESULTS OF PA TEA COMPETI TIONS.
The Patea Surf ami Life. Saving Club held various competitions on the beach on Sunday, and this 'was an added attraction for . the ‘'Wanganui visiwho greatly appreciated the exhibition. There was a very heavy roll during the afternoon, and the competitors had a strenuous time in swimming out to the mark buoy. Three teams competed, one from Fitzroy, one from Ohawe, and one from .Patea, with the following results: March past, for Anson Cup: -Fitzroy l, Patea 2, Ohawe 8. Patea Beach Shield: Ohawe 1, Fitzroy 2. Boltman's race: F. Ryan 1, A. Ryan 2 Race around buoy and .back, for Ramsbottom Cup: P. .Ryan. 1, Iv. MeGlashau 2, T. Butehart 3. WANE A N ITT COMPETITIONS.
