The new ALFALAVAL ball bearing separators are, therefore, fitted with an effective and handy brake, which stops the bowl in the course of a fpw minutes. There is, consequently no temptation to employ the dangerous practice of stop-' ping the bowl by hand. COMPLETELY ENCLOSED DRIVING WHEELS. - The driving wheels are completely enclosed in g tightly fitting cover of cast iron, which protects them from dirt or moisture, and at the same time does away with the possibility of any accident. ACCURATE SPEED CONTROL. If the separator is turned too slowly, the bowl will not attain its proper speed-which will re[sult in reduced clean skimming and loss of butter-fat in the skim milk. The ALFA-LAVAL cream separators are fitted with an automatic bell speed indicator, which rings if the separator is turned too slowly, thus providing a safeguard against under speed.
