DE GROOT SEEKS DAMAGES
ALLEGED WRONGFUL DETENTION INCIDENT AT SYDNEY BRIDGE.
Francis De Groot, wlio figured in the ribbon-cutting incident at the opening of the Sydney Bridge, has issued a writ claiming £SOOO damages against the Chief Secretary, Mr. Gosling, Police Commissioner Childs, and Metropolitan Police Superintendent Mackay. The writ arises out of De Groot’s arrest and alleged Avrongful detention at the reception house.
