BROTHER’S DISCOVERY
DEATH OF YOUNG WOMAN. SITTING NEAR WINDOW. The death occurred with tragic-•un-expectedness on Monday of Miss Marjorie Ada Potter, aged 27, at her home Valley Road, Mount Eden, Auckland. She was a daughter cf Mr. E. 11. Potter, a former Mayor of Mount Eden. The cause of death is believed to have been heart failure.
Miss Potter had complained in the morning of feeling' unwell and her brother had given her a cup of tea. On returning home in the evening the brother went to her room and found her dead, sitting near an open window.
At the inquest, which was adjourned after evidence of identification had been given, the coroner asked Detective Sergeant J. Bickcrdikc, who appeared for the police, whether there was anyone else at home during the day.
“Yes, I understand there was,” replied the detective sergeant. "We arc making further inquiries into the matter.”
