MEAT FOR THE PEOPLE
FARMERS’ CO-OP. FREEZING CO.’S ENTERPRISE. The public of Patea and district arc reminded of the butcher’s shop which is now open at the Patea Farmers’ Coop. Freezing Works, from 8 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. daily, with the exception of Saturdays, when it is open from 8 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Hero meat of the very best description, all killed under the direct supervision of Government meat inspectors, can bo obtained at the lowest current rates. In addition to the ordinary joints of beef and mutton, corned beef, corned pork, and small goods of every description can be obtained at the shop. The following are some of the prices:— y Beef roasts, 4d. Rump steak 6d. Other cuts 24d. Skirts, 24djpor pound. Pork, legs and loins 6d, shoulders 5M Pickled pork sd.
Lamb, prime legs sd, forequarters 4d; second quality, legs 3d,forcquartcrsi 3d.
Mutton, legs and loins 3d, forequarters 2Jd. Sweetbreads, 9d per pound. Frys 3d, Ox hearts 3d. Ox tails 9d. Ox kidneys Cd. Sheep and lamb hearts Id. Sausages, beef, 3d per lb. Pork sausages, 5J per lb. The meat, it is worthy of note, is fresh killed and not frozen.
Customers visiting the shop can rely on. receiving every attention and civility and a special effort is made to please all. The shop is in charge of an experienced tradesman, who' as ill endeavour to satisfy everyone, no order being too small or too large for him to cope with.
