PATEA LIBRARY COMMITTEE
ORDINARY MEETING. The ordinary monthly meeting ox the Patca Library Committee was held ou Friday, Mr. A. T. Christenson presiding. Messrs. Hemingway, Findlay, Hamel, Eamsbottom, Hills, and Pettigrew (hon. secretary) were also proscut.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The action of the chairman in forwarding a wreath to Mr. E. F. Warren on the death of his wife was confirmed.
A letter was received from Mr. Warren thanking the committee for their expression of sympathy with him in his bereavement.
Messrs. 11. L. Young -wrote stating that the cost of repairing old boohs would be greater than that of new ones. Mr. Hamel reported that he had made inquiries re books when in Dunedin, He recommended that the ‘111)108’ ’ literary supplement be procured as a guide to the committee in procuring books. The recommendation was adopted. The. treasurer reported a credit balance of £3l.
It was unanimously resolved that the selection committee order a supply of well-bound books from Home. Accounts were read and passed for payment and the meeting adjourned.
