PERSONAL
Mr. L. Torrens, who has been on tin stall’ of the local Bank of New Zealand, has received notice of his promotion to the .position of accountant at the Inglewood branch of the bunk. Mr. Torrens will leave for Inglewood on Tuesday. He will be succeeded by Mr. McW’illiam, of Eltham.
Mr. J. Id. Welsh, Jvakaramea, had the misfortune to fracture an arm when he fell from the milk stand at his farm mi Monday. Mr. Welsh had the arm X-rayed yesterday, and is propressing as well us can be expected.
The Lev. J. Common, of Kankapakapa, has been appointed to succeed the Rev. C. Aker as minister in charge of the Methodist Church in Patea.
