The jury found in effect that there was no conspiracy among the detendanls, <,who also included Reid and (ioddanb for the purchase of the Muu'olllo mines by the l.pieensia ml Coveruinent Hr T-tii.nnii, which the Crown claimed far exceeded their value. There was no conspiracy by any ot the defendants whereby either Theodore or McCormack used his influence in furtherance of a common design to defraud the Covernment. The jury’s answers to all the questions exonerated the four defendants and judgment was entered accordingly, the costs to be taxed.
