PATEA V. HAWERA PARK. A friendly match -hotween the Pawn and Hawera Park Chubs played--‘II at Hawera on Wednesday, resulting in a win for Pateii by 32 points. The green was in perfect order bat a strong southerly wind made it very tricky. Mr. J. Goodwin welcomed the visitors and expressed the wish that they would have an enjoyable afternoon. At the. conclusion of the games Mr. I'. Bourke thanked the Park Club for an enjoyable afternoon and the ladies for a splendid afternoon tea, and called on the Patca players to give cheers for the Park Club and the ladies. Mr. ■ourke also invited the Park Club to come to Patca on any convenient date before the season closed. Mr. Goodwin thanked Air. Bourke for the invitation, saying they would be only too pleased to accept same. He also i-ongrafnlated Mr. C. Richards on winning the Patca championship singles and Mr. .Smith on -winning the ’’ark Club singles, and limped they would both do well in the matche-' they had to play with the other dub champions.
