CHAMPION WRECK VICTIM
INSURANCE COMPANIES DEFRAUDED.
A Chicago report states that Aleck Aloic “world’s champion wreck victim,” was sent to gaol when convicted on a charge of faking. For years this has been his livelihood. Every time he heard of a wreck he would, if possible, dash to the scene, lie down in the debris, scratch his face, tear his clothing, and shriek, groan, and w'cep. Insurance companies paid him 50 times under different names before they discovered the fraud.
