EIGHT PERSONS MISSING. DISASTER IN .-TASMANIA. One of the worst disasters in recent years in Tasmania occurred when the Cascade dam, containing 750,000,000 gallons of water burst under the pressure of the excessive rains. An immense wall of water rushed down the valley. Several houses were washed away and eight persons arc missing. The Briseis tin mine had its offices, electrical plant, and workings flooded.
