SUCCESSFUL SALVAGE
CARGO or DIAMONDS RECOVERED Diamonds worth four hundred thousand founds,, the property of the Belgian Government, were recovered from the wreck of the Belgian steamer Elizabcthville, which was torpedoed oil Belle Isle in 1917, while cn rente from the Congo to Havre. The salvagers receive (50 per cent, of the value recovered.
