ANNUAL CHRISTMAS TREE. The annual Xmas tree of the local Lodge of Druids was held on Tuesday evening, the Town Hall being tilled with a merry band of youngsters. Each chihl was given a ticket on entering the hall, and shortly after eight o’clock all were marshalled in the body of the hall and marched to the stage, where two large Xmas trees laden with gifts were placed in charge of two Druids in costume. Each child as it passed along the stage was given a present, each one being suitable to the child’s age. The happy faces of the children showed that they appreciated the gifts bestowed on them, and the members of the local Druids’ Lodge must have felt more tliau rewarded for their efforts w hen they looked on the smiling faces of the children. The members of the lodge ami all who assisted are to be heartily 'congratulated on the result of their efforts.
