THE MOST POPULAR DOGS
The fox terrier is the most popular home dog in Britain. The shaggy Airdale, which many owners believe to be the most human, ranked second. Kennel Club statistics showed that already this year 7000 fox terriers have been registered. The dachshund continued to slump in popularity. The pre-war number was 332 and in 1924 it was 154, Registration the first eight months of this year totalled 117.
The dog popularity in Britain is ap preaching the three million mark.
