NOTES

A very enjoyable sewing afternoon was held by the Wavcrlcy Girl Citizens in the,Ladies’ Rost Room on Thursday, May 28th, when Mrs Browning kindly offered to help the girls with their sewing, and brought a variety of patterns to choose from. Two W.C.T.U. ladies supplied tea and cakes, and the meeting dispersed, after having a little chat . Next Thursday a “golliwog afternoon,” commencing at 2 p.m., will be held, in aid of the Willard Orphanage, Palmerston North. As the objects of the Club are excellent ones and the membership fee merely nominal, the roil number should be speedily doubled.
