CHARACTER PLAYS AND SKETCHES

WAVERLEY TOWN HALL WEDNESDAY NEXT A line treat is in store for the people of Wavcrlcy on Wednesday next, when the town will be visited by Mr and Mrs J. W. Bailey and their pupils, who will provide an evening of plays and character sketches. These entertainers arc well known in Wanganui, and Wavcrlcy people arc strongly recommended not to miss hearing them. The company will appear in popular short plays and sketches. A few criticisms will tell how Mr and Mrs J. W. Bailey arc regarded by the Press of the Dominion. ‘ ‘ Pathos and humour flow from either of these artists without effort.” —“Dominion.” “Mrs Bailey’s child impersonations wore delightful.”—Evening Post. “Mr Bailey scored a great success as the Chinese husband; his display of passion was a very fine effort, and his unspoken acting remarkably clever, indeed. ’ ’ All who enjoy an evening of comedy should not miss this opportunity.”
