PATEA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
GENERAL PURPOSES COMMITTEE. A meeting of the General Purposes Committee of the Patca Borough Council was held on Thursday when the following recommendations were made; — That the Fire Brigade be informed that the Foreman will be requested to see ’that no fire plugs are obliterated when tarring work is being done. That the matter of indicating the position of fire plugs be referred to the Fire Brigade Committee for report. That in accordance with the certifi. cate of the .Medical Officer of Health Wanganui, a condemnation order be is»u#d requiring the building at the cor. net of Egmont and Victoria Streets to be pulled down within one month. That Mr E. H. Bartley, New Plymouth be asked to undertake the test of the new hydro plant.
