(From our Resident Representative) WAVERLEY DOMAIN BOARD, i i ORDINARY MEETING. The ordinary monthly meeting of the Waverley Domain Board was held last week Mr A. J. Adlam presiding. Messrs Beer, T. J. Davis and D. Irving were also present.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed.

Correspondence was read as under: 1 —

Mr D.' Forsyth of- Mataimoana wrote asking permission to transfer his lease of section to J. Martin. It was resolved that the transfer be agreed to subject to the usual condi. tions.

It was proposed by Mr Davis and seconded by Mr Irving that the Board obtain a solicitor's opinion as to whether the Board have power to make a certain condition to the leases, namely to prohibit any one person from holding more than one Domain section.— Carried.

It was proposed by Mr Beer and seconded by Mr Irving that the leases of sections be sold by public auction. Carried.

Mr Davis proposed that the sections leased to Messi’s Walker and Wallace be surveyed, but the motion lapsed for want of a seconder.

Mr Davis proposed and Mr Beer seconded that a man be engaged to dean up the Board's plantations. —Carried. Mr Davis reported that the work on the concrete gun base was held up pending a load of shingle. Accounts amounting to £2B/10/9 were read and passed for payment and the Board rose.
