RESULTS TO DATE ■ The following is the list of votes received by the following candidates:— Mrs. Simmons 9,002. Mrs. Besley 7,250. Miss O'Neil 7,112 Miss Pchinuuia 6,472 Mrs. Richardson 3,384 NORTHERN - QUEEN The Northern Committee are holding a Cinderella Dance in the Forester’s Hall to-morrow at S p.m. and every Saturday night until further notice. All Northern supporters arc asked to be present as the function is to be a weekly gathernig of the Clan. , * * * * SOUTHERN QUEEN The Euchre Party in the Town Hall Supper Room last night proved an unqualified success a pleasant evening- being spent by all. A dance will be held in Mahony’s Hall to-morrow night as usual. * * * * WHENUAKURA QUEEN A final reminder is given of the market day to be held in Patea to-morrow when all sorts of good things from the country will be' obtainable including mutton, veal, barley, eggs, butter cream and other produce. The committee are erecting a large marquee on the vacant section opposite the Patea Butchery Co. 7 s establishment where the produce will be obtainable. * * A * KAKARAMEA AND ALTON QUEEN There was a crowded attendance at the Alton Hkll on Tuesday night when Mrs,- Mitchell *s Orchestra and Concert Party rendered a magnificent programme. The appreciation of the audience was shown in an unmistakable manner, every item being encored. At the conclusion of the concert the floor was cleared for dancing an 'enjoyable time being spent.' As a result of the concert wo understand some £ls was added to the Carnival funds.
