THE LIGHTING SYSTEM.

HYDRO PLANT RE-STARTED. The Borough hydro plant resumed operations on Monday afternoon shortly after three o’clock when the current was turned on from this plant for the first time since October last. Shortly after resuming the current was cut off to remedy a few minor defects, but later on it ran without any hitch until 1 a.m., when it was turned off for the day. The light burned very steadily, without the slightest trace of flicker, and wins much appreciated by townspeople after the four or five days of darkness experienced. We understand the Lighting Committee arc well satisfied with the repairs that have been carried out, and there should now be an uninterrupted lighting service for consumers.
