A NARROW ESCAPE.
ON MAIN TRUNK LINK. Wellington, February US. Just as the south-hound Main Trunk express had drawn into the platiorm at lluulervillc yesterday morning, the north bound express passed by at high speed on the rails the other train had just left. It is stated that the up express had missed the tablet at Huntorville. having passed through with the signal against it. The down train- was considerably delayed, as the tablet had to be brought back ;o Mangaonoho. Mr. McDonald, assistant railway manager, stated that there was some nmsnnderstanding on the part of the driver of the np express, and three officers of the Department were going to inquire.
