MR. NELSON'S ADDRESS
On Sunday afternoon Mr. Edward Nelson, lecturer of the International Piblc Students’ Association, addressed an interested audience at the down Hall, Paten, on the above .-object. Tire burden of Air. Nelson s message wa.-. that we are witnessing a great developiieuta! change in the world’s history, in which society would undergo a complete transformation, and present evil institutions would bc> replaced by a new order in which universal happiness would be secured, human life would be prolonged, and the dying process eventually eliminated. From his study of the Scriptures the speaker gave it as his opinion that God’s Kingdom was so near that there wore millions now living who would never die at all, but live forever on the earth. ‘‘The end of the world,” said Air. Neb on, “had been sadly misunderstood. It did not define a cosmic cataMrophe, but <lm termination of an era, and would bo bet -,or dcscvit ed as the end of the age. The Bible showed that while generations come and go,* earth on which Cmy come an! go alidcth for ever.” Air. Nelson exhorted his hearers to seek meekness, to wail upon God, and to study His Wov 1. so that they might bo hid in tno day of the Lord’s anger, and form one among the favoured millions who woo’d never tec death.
