DISCHARGED SOLDIERS’ SETTLEMENT LOAN.
The public arc reminded that the time for receiving subscriptions for the £(>,000,000 Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Loan has been extended to Thursday, Kith December next. This loan is required to enable the Government, which represents the pcojdc of the Dominion, to keep faith with the men who fought for the libortyjp' the world, it may not be generally known that if the loan is not fully subscribed the authorities can compel individuals ■to contribute a sum equal to the yearly average land tax and income tax during the throe years ending 31st last. Subscriptions may be made at any postal money order office, bank, or at the Treasury, Wellington. Further details will bo found on the fourth page of this issue. NOTE
