WAVERLEY TOWN BOARD
ORDINARY MEETING
The ordinary fortnightly meeting of the Waverley Town Board was held in the Board's meeting room oil Thursday evening, Mr E. A. Hart presiding. Messrs S." Bromiley, D. Taylor, S. Napier and A. A\ Fantham were also present.
The minutes of .the previous meeting were read and confirmed. War Trophies
The Secretary of the War Memorial Committee wrote stating Committeo were pleased to Board was taking steps to secure vTSr ; trophies for - and asking that every effort be made to have a member of tho Board-- appointed on the Allotment Committed; ■'
It was resolved that tho Clerk write to the Prime Minister on tho matter and obtain all information possible. Consulting Engineer Tho Chairman reported that Mr. J. Blair Mason had 'passed through Waverley and met several members of the Board. After a visit to the works Mr. Mason said he would be prepared to report on the scheme if the Board wished.
After a brief discussion it was decided to hold the matter over till next meeting of the Board and that the Board's Engineer be asked to attend. Waitotara Telephone The Chief Postmaster of Wanganui wrote stating' "that the question of opening the Waitotara telephono exchange for an hour in tho evening was being enquired into and ho would let them know the result later on. This concluded the' business of the Town Board.
