WELCOME HOME.
LOCAL MEN RETURN Eiflemen Loader, Ncilson and Edgecombe who came by the troopship Kigoma, returned homo by the morning train on Wednesday last and received a hearty welcome from His Worship the Mayor (Mr. A. T. Christenscn), Messrs Strouts and Hemingway on behalf of the Patriotic League and from a largo number of relatives and friends. All were looking exceptionally well and expressed their delight at being home once again. They were kindly motored to the homes by Messrs Cronin & Co. and L. T. Adams. Rifleman W. Tarrant, formerly of the !ocal staff of the Railway Department, was a passenger by the same train en route to Hawera.
Lieutenant R. A. Brewer, who also returned by the Kigoma, was expected to arrive on Wednesday morning but was delayed in Wellington.
