The eighth annual show of the Waverley A & P Association was held in the recreation grounds at Waverley on Friday last in glorious weather and as was anticipated proved a brilliant‘success. The officers one and all worked exceptionally hard from the President, Mr Alt’ Syines, downward and no small amount of the success of the function is due to their efforts The Secretary Mr J. E. Palmer had everything thoroughly well organised and left nothing to be desired and again proved himself the right man in the right place. The catering which was in the i hands of the ladies proved a step in the right direction, the arrangements being excellent and the refreshments being in the opinion of all equal to those obtainable at any show in the Dominion. As a result of the patrpitio fTeffdrts of the ladies the Wounded Soldiers Fund will benefit to a considerable amount. The entries were in most olassns equal to other years. As usual in Waverley the horse events were strongly contested. = The Waverley Band was in attendance apd played various selections throughout the day matarially adding to the day’s enjoyment.
