A very pretty wedding wav solemnized at St. Stephens Ohuroh, Waverley, on Wednesday last, the contracting parties beingMiiisEmma Meyer, second daughter of Mr J M Meyer of vyhenuakura and Mr JWH Giles, eldest son of : Mr tnd Mrs W Gil?a of Hawera, Theßsv R Franklin performed the ceremony. The bride who was given away by her father looked charming in a handsome dr ss of cream lustre trimmed with satin and a tunic of shadow lace. She also wore the regulation veil and orange blossoms. The bridesmaids were Misses Elsie, Vera and Myrtle Giles, sisters of bridegroom. Mr Arthur Giles being best man and Mr W Meyer groomsman. After the ceremony the wedding party adjourned to Mrs Drury's Privato Hotel where a dainty afternoon te » was served and the usual toasts only honoured. The happy couple left later by the miil train for New Plymouth where tho honeymoon will be spent The bride's travelling .dress was a brown tutor mide costume with cr. am silk hat trimmed with roses. The bridegrooms gift to the bride was a locket and chain and to the chief bridesmaid a gold turquoise brooch.and to the little maids pendants and chains.
