Mr Banks in a neat speech expressed the regret of one end all at losing Miss Speight, and on behalf of the school, he presented her with a handsome marble clock and silver sugar and cream set on a pretty hand painted stand. Miss Speight brhft? thanked Mr Banks and the scholars for their beautiful gifts. i Three hearty cheers were given for the recipient and the gathering dispersed.
