Buried Herself Alive.
* An extraordinary caso of suicide is reported from Evreux, in the Department of tho Euro, by tho Telegraph s correspondent. A Breton woman named Mario Movvon, aged thirty-five, dug a gra, 0 by tbe side of that of her sister, and then buried herself alive. Morvan was an exemplary servant, employed by a farmer near Evroux. Recently one of liov married sisters died, and on her deathbed extracted from Mario a promise. This was to tho effect that tho latter would faithfully marry her brother-in-law when ho was left a widower. After tho dontli of tho sister Mario Morvan thought of tho prom'so. As she had no desire to wed, and no liking for her brother- in-law, tho widower, sho resolved to dio. Sho would then, sho -fxinsidercd, join her sister in tho next world, and make matters rd right with her. Tho woman, It appears, lifted up tho gravestone over her sister and after sho had excavated a tomb for herself brought tho slab down over her. Tart of Mario MOl van’s dross was seen protruding from the headstone by another sister, a Madame Ledu, who went to visit tho grave, Surprised, tho woman called for help JlOlll people near at hand, and tho slab being raised, Mario Morvan was found dead in tho grave dug by her own hands. Sho was suffocated seen aftci tho headstone dosed on her, ibi hands and face wore not covered b} tho earth, which she had managed tc pile over her body.
