Jensen Cup. A handsome glass case in which to keep th© Jensen Cup has been presented to the Konini-Mangamair© Boy Scout Troop by Mr Lou Rusden of Mangatainoka. The cup will be kept on view at the K.onin,i Hall. Local Poet Acknowledged. The Auckland General Publishing Co. has just issued an anthology of New Zealand verse, “dedicated to the thousands of New Zealanders now serving our country overseas in the army, navy and airforce.” The publication includes a number of poems from the lien of a local writ•or. Mr Sefton Walsli. one of which. “Attack in Libya,” is featured on the title page. In a foreword the publishers make acknowledgment to “The Listener” for the use of Sefton Walsh’s verses. School Cyclists. Complaints made at the Fire Board about schoolboy cyclists have provoked further protests from truck drivers and other regular users of main, highways approaching uhe town. Pupils of th© town school are accused of very dangerous riding in the mornings and drivers claim c.beir caution incites the cyclists to further. trick riding, particularly near Teki.
