A meeting of tile Works Commit tee was held in the Town Clerk’s office on Monday the- Bth September 1041, those present being the chair man. J. W. Greaves, Crs. Watts Sandman, and Mills. BUSINESS.
Metalling Gateways: It was decider! that owners of property be charged at the rate of 10s per yard for metal delivered and spread in gateways.
Cobb’s request: It is recommended to the Council to grant authority for the footpath from the sump in Huia Street to the Tyndall Street corner and from the corner of Tyndall St. to King Street to be formed," metalled and tarred. Delivery of sand from riverbed: The Town Clerk be authorised to make arrangements for the taking of sand from the riverbed.
Sale of road oil and purchase of colas: Tin* down Clerk was instructed to make arrangements with tne Shell Coy. for the taking over of Road Oil in hand and the purchase of Colas in lieu thereof Recommendation to By-laws Committee: (a) That a footpath deposit be paid on. application for building permit; (h, that a charge be made with tile application to build for the installation of a concrete culvert. Stock Route Signs: Tt is recommended that all stock route signs be repainted. (Deferred. - )
