Office, on Friday. September 5, when there were present the Chairman, Mr J. \\ . Sturton, and Crs. W. Hall Watson, T. W. Watts, Messrs J. Milne Allan, S. T. Tinney, the Town Clerk and the Librarian. Miss D. Milne Allan.

A discussion took place in connection with discounts allowed by booksellers to Libraries, and it was aggn ed that the Chairman, Mr J. W. Sturton. Mr J. Milne Allan and the Town Clerk he appointed to intervit w the local booksellers with the view of coming to an arrangement in connection with the allowance of discounts on books purchased for the Library. The purchase 0 f books totalling CD 2s 10d was passed for payment by the Finance Committee. ‘Report was adopted by Council.
